The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church located in Newport, TN was awarded a Disaster Services grant from the National Society and District of Knoxville Council Society.

The funds will be used to compensate a construction manager who will work for the Cocke County Long Term Recovery Group. The construction manager will coordinate Hurricane Helene flood related rebuilding projects. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA harnesses the power of community and partnerships to feed, clothe, house and heal individuals and families in our communities.
